Work-Based Learning
Vision
Students will apply their technical skill knowledge in real-world learning environments and problem-solving scenarios.
Internship
An internship is a highly structured, time-limited, career preparation activity in which students are placed at a worksite to participate in and observe work first hand. Internships provide students the opportunity to learn by doing real work and being productively engaged in the workplace. Students have the opportunity to work in teams, work on a project, or rotate through a number of departments and job functions.
Wellness Clinics
CAVIT wellness clinics take place on our campus and are operated by students. The clinics serve a dual purpose: functioning as a real-world training lab for students pursuing careers and providing vital services to the student body or local community residents and pets. Each clinic offers blended CTE technical and hands-on skill content with professional workforce training.
Workplace Scenario
A workplace scenario is a hands-on, simulated, or real-world problem used in CTE training. It mirrors the daily challenges professionals face, testing a student’s ability to apply technical skills and soft skills (like communication, teamwork, and critical thinking) in a professional environment. Scenarios bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry reality.
