We are dedicated to partnering with area high schools to provide Career and Technology Education opportunities for students to become productive members of a competitive workforce. About Mike Glover
Mike Glover joined CAVIT in 2001 and has served as program coordinator, principal, and superintendent. Mike holds a bachelor's degree from University of Arizona and a master's degree from Northern Arizona University. He oversees CAVIT's central campus and leads the program of study consortia with Central Arizona College and western Pinal County high schools.
About Shane Blakeman
Shane has over 20 years of work experience as a sergeant, detective, and investigator at area Pinal County agencies. He has five years of teaching experience. Shane joined CAVIT in 2013.
About Jessica Brooks
Jessica Brooks has 17 years of experience in the cosmetology field, including 10 years of teaching experience. Jessica joined CAVIT in 2014.
About Tiffany Brown
Tiffany Brown is a certified medical assistant and has more than 20 years work experience as a medical assistant and six years experience at CAVIT and Central Arizona College. She serves on the state's medical assistant assessment team and is currently serving as treasurer for the Arizona Health Careers Education affiliate. Tiffany is working towards national board teacher certification and is starting her first year as an ACTE Leadership Fellow. She holds a bachelor's degree in CTE from Northern Arizona University. Tiffany joined CAVIT in 2008.
About Karen Chamberlain
Karen Chamberlain is a registered nurse with more than 20 years work experience in New York and Arizona hospitals, as well as several years work experience in the home health care area. Karen holds two bachelor’s degrees, psychology and BSN, as well as a master’s in theology. She currently serves as treasurer for the Arizona Health Careers Education Association and Ministry Leader of the Emergency Response Team at Mountain View Church. She is currently pursuing her second master’s degree toward her Doctorate in Nursing. Karen joined CAVIT in 2013.
About Christina Chatham
Christina has worked as a veterinary technician in Arizona for the past 13 years. She is a certified veterinary technician and completed an associate’s degree in that career area. Christina joined CAVIT in 2018.
About Amanda Diesing
Amanda has worked as a salon stylist for the past 11 years in both Arizona and Minnesota. Amanda has been teaching for eight years. She is a Licensed Cosmetologist (LC) and Licensed Cosmetology Instructor (LCI). Amanda holds an associate's degree in business and a bachelor's degree in project management. Amanda joined CAVIT in 2017.
About Kelli Jackson
Kelli has worked as a dental assistant for the past 30 years in Washington, Maine, and Arizona. Kelli has been teaching for 1.5 years. She is a certified dental assistant with radiology and coronal polishing certifications. Kelli joined CAVIT in 2018.
About Nadine Kerstetter
Nadine carries 19 years of animal health care experience in a veterinary practice. She is a certified veterinary technician. Nadine joined CAVIT in 2018.
About Devon McLaws
Devon McLaws is a second year instructor with ten years of law enforcement career experience. He has served as an officer, detective, and tactical operator. He is an Arizona POST certified instructor. Devon holds a bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education from Northern Arizona University. Devon joined CAVIT in 2013.
About Kansas Olson
Kansas has worked as a dental assistant for the past 15 years in Wyoming, Montana, and Arizona. Kansas has been teaching for two years. She is a certified dental assistant and radiology certified. Kansas joined CAVIT in 2018.
About William Snyder
William Snyder has worked in the massage industry for 16 years and has taught massage therapy for the past ten years. William owned and operated a successful massage salon in Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2017 before coming to CAVIT. William is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and has a master's degree in business. William joined CAVIT in 2017.
About Jeff Wooley
Jeffrey Wooley is a registered medical assistant and has seven years experience working in and managing medical clinics. He is currently serving as chairman of the board for Sunlife Family Health Center. He chairs the state's medical assistant curriculum review team, serves as past president for the Arizona Health Careers Education affiliate, and serves as president of the Arizona Society of American Medical Technologists. He is working towards national board teacher certification and is completing his term as an ACTE leadership fellow. Jeffrey has won the ACTE Community Service Teacher of the Year award, and in 2016 won the ACTE Allied Health Teacher of the Year. He holds a bachelor's degree in CTE from Northern Arizona University. Jeffrey joined CAVIT in 2010.
