Hairstyling
Note: Required June 1–18, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. training at CAVIT’s Coolidge campus. Student must be 16 years of age on June 1, 2026, and have earned ten high school credits with two of those credits in English.
Program Highlights
- Manage CAVIT’s fully-operational salon delivering quality hairstyling services to community residents.
- Express individual creativity by providing a wide range of artistic hair services using the latest technology, trends, and name-brand products.
- Work alongside professional cosmetologists to evaluate, recommend, and create unique hair designs.
Career Focus
- The first step to earning your hairstyling license is to successfully complete the CAVIT two-year, 1000-hour program. At the end of the program, it’s time to earn your licensure by passing the state’s two exams. Finally, it’s time to update your resume and apply for and land a hairstylist position.

Hairstylist Entry Level Salary Range*
- Hourly: $12.25–$17.58
- Annual: $25,480–$36,570
