What We Offer: Dental Assistant
Program Highlights
  • Provide high quality patient care as an important part of the operatory team in a modern dental environment.
  • Perform a wide range of dental office operations including x-rays, chair side assistance, instrument transfer, and preparation of teeth impressions.

Enrollment Period

First year students attend CAVIT from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. daily.
Second year students attend classes from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. daily.


Program Length

The dental assistant program is two years in length. Students also have the opportunity to obtain two of the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certifications, as well as a certificate from the American Red Cross in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Second year students qualify for the Infection Control Exam upon successful completions of the Microbiology/Infection Control/Hazardous Waste Management curriculum.

Second year students qualify for the Radiation Health and Safety Exam upon successful completion of the Radiology Curriculum.
