Entrance Requirements

Prerequisites:

  • Open to high school seniors only
  • Possess a social security card 
  • Meet CAC Compass Reading Test requirements 
  • Current on health immunizations 
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of application 
  • One credit in Biology 
  • No criminal record
  • Payment of $100 program fee

Program Length

We have designed this program for students to be able to complete in one year. CAVIT will award a certificate of completion to students who successfully complete the one year program. Students must be 18 years of age by summer 2012 to take the national and state certification exam. CAC college credits may be earned.

Morey Morris has 22 years firefighter paramedic and aero medical flight paramedic experience. He has 8 years of experience serving as director for a community college fire science/EMS program. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University. Morey joined CAVIT in 2011.
